Infused and Imbibed.

Standard

Last night we finally finished the last of our homemade holiday gifts.   Infused Vodka, Tequila and Gin.  I think this may have been our favorite project because along the way, we got to sample, sip and re-sip to ensure that the taste was just right.   duh.

A few weeks back as I was pulling together my Holiday Host Gift List, I featured Infused Liquors as a terrific and unique gift – with a bit of an idea in mind that this was soon to be on our to.do list for local friends and family.

On the list:

  • Rosemary Infused Vodka (my obsession at Bar Toscana)
  • Pineapple Jalapeno Tequila
  • Cucumber Rose Petal Gin (with a goal to come close to our favorite, Hendricks Gin)

We spent Saturday at Costco, Surfas – the.best.kitchen.supply.store.ever! – and our Local Farmers Market loading up on supplies.  {Contrary to what some may think, I don’t think I’ve ever purchased so much alcohol at one time}

The process was actually quite easy.  We used this tutorial as a guide. Chopped, Soaked and Strained.  NOTE: the Rosemary and the Jalapeno were quick to flavor so we took them out a bit faster and left the milder Pineapple, Cucumber and Roses in a bit longer for their flavors to infuse.  For best results, sip often.

Finished products.

Happy {Infused & Imbibed} Holidays.
